Forgotten Realm Poem by DiAnne Douglass

Forgotten Realm

Rating: 5.0

Upon the silvery wings of the wind
Across a thousand seas of Time
A song from the past floated through the air
Touching the hearts of all of those
willing to hear its ghostly message
Of a forgotten past

'One single tear
Of the purest kind
Shed over the loss
Of the disappearance of a love
A love more pure or true
Has yet been found'

A single heartfelt tear
Cried so long ago
Crystallized into a jewel
With untold hidden power

'The story of my love
Is one that has long since been forgotten
For it has remained untold
And shall remain so
For all of time'

Two star crossed lovers
Destined for death
Each dreading the fate
That had long awaited their arrival

'A forbidden love
A forgotten realm
A secret long since hidden
The truth long since forgotten'

All the planets
Held in balance
Until a long forgotten secret
Threatened to overthrow it

'A single image
burned into the hearts of many
A single memory of a bloody past
One so terrible
It has long since been forgotten
And denied as truth'

A death beyond words
A horror beyond imaginations
And a fate worse than Hell
Awaiting a young soul
The answers of questions unspoken
Lay in the graveyards of the worlds

For one still lives who remembers the tale
And there she resides, by the doorway
The entrance into the forgotten realm
There she will wait, for all eternity
Ready to answer the questions that span Time
And lead you on a journey
Through the forgotten realm
