Forgotton Poem by Ross Shaw

Forgotton

If hollowed nests followed freezing chests,
and if stolen silence enforces meaningful tolerance,
then the assonance of our society confuses it's stance
then of course, the severity of our situation will repute this chance.

Showing it's lance and waiting for the attack
showering itself in kisses and one hundred cloaks,
background debating for a wasteful attempt,
coming close to the flack of this courageous contempt.

and, it one million souls were joined at the hip,
then this peaceful night's task is incidious to think,
that a single shot can propegate a nations thoughts and dreams,
congregating in similies, falling silent at fragile seams.

Of course, happenings happen and strengths subside,
echo bravely these lies that you still choose to hide,
beginnings begin, and I beg to know why these endings end,
I take a deep breath and I lose faith to try.
