Forsaken Poem by David Whittingham

Forsaken

Soul forsaken,
The heart is broken,
Time on time again,
We give up the key,
Open to one, who will abuse,
Me, myself, my everything
Hence we always lose.

Let the darkness in,
And you can win,
In the heart of this power
We shall burn
Out of reach,
Of whatever was left.

Oh why am I ever the fool,
Why is nothing ever just cool,
Why do I care for those who cause me pain?
What do I have to gain?

The soul is now free,
To leave,
To die,
To be alone forever in,
In perfect hatred.

Beautiful.
