Four Years Falling (Crash Landing After A Four Year Manic Freefall) Poem by Not Long Left

Four Years Falling (Crash Landing After A Four Year Manic Freefall)

Rating: 5.0

Four years falling,
A thousand faces
flash by within a breath.
A just fallen feather
from a tree in heaven
falling with no choice
to where it shall land.
Time has no use here
mere hands clawing
at dead numbers.
Four years falling
Heated thoughts-
flashing visions
of inspiration.
Teasing and testing
the fragile pile of
memories-
Snippets of sanity-
winter walks
nursing the sick child.
Brakfast bar battles
like little hot pokers
of the past.
Four years falling,
stuck with the window
view of car speeding
through a small
suburban street.
visuals hazy
tired and blurry.
Hands tremble with
the weight of the
what, where, and whys.
Four years falling,
and now I have finally
landed, I have stepped
over the manic merry- go- round
yet the world is still spinning.
Slowly, unsteadily, substance
takes form.
Naked, I am left to wander:
Searching through the scattered
remains of the past,
dropping every second piece.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Isn't it funny how the pieces never go back together though you can see how they fit perfectly?

Wow! You know how it feels too then Vincent? . I hope the next four bring us both a little serenity and peace. A real tear jerker! Tai
