Frail Time... Poem by indira babbellapati

Frail Time...

Rating: 5.0

You wanted to see me
I couldn't bear to see you
Attached to tubes and helpless
And you went away without us
Seeing each other;
You left pointing how frail time is

The jokes we shared, the way we
Shunned the world in lighter vein
And laughed to ourselves
The lunches we shared and
The worn out clothes you insisted
As gifts; all these and
The warmth of your hug
Reduced to mere nothingness
In the light of the burden
You left me with for
Not gathering my sinking
Heart to see you...

Let me make up with a sorry
My dear tatagaaru,
I loved to address you as...

Frail Time
Deceptive Time

*fondly recollecting some of the moments spent with doyen of modern telugu literature, a lover of Kafka, who breathed his last in the early hours of 24 May 2013

A wonderful tribute to a loved one. I hope time heals the pain.

Poem shows how much you miss a person. This together with other poem Tripura form a great tribute to a great individual. He was a story teller of eminence.
