In the stillness of my room
where roses neve bloom
and everything is dead
I lay my head

In my shelter from the world
Quiet thoughts are hurled
and spin forevermore
Behind closed doors

My walls echo the meaning
where my mind is leaning
Re-sound from afar
and push the door ajar

I grasp in reality
what I have done to me
And leave my inner self
upon a dusty shelf

But when the morning breaks
I'll pick up what it takes
to dust my inner soul
and teach myself control

And then no human being
will ever break this feeling
Not touched by earthly bonds
Than I can carry on
