Freedom Poem by Alex Moore

Freedom

The frustration
The fear
The pressure

She drops her water and jacket into the grass
the cool summers breeze in her hair
she takes her position
and releases
the wind brushing her hair out of her face
the grass padding beneath her feet
to her its like walking on air

she's running away
away from all the pain the world has given her
she's running to a new place in her mind
where she's forever in happiness

she slows down to a hault
falls to the floor
and pants while looking up in to the deep blue sky
nothing but her, the grass, the sun and the birds
'freedom'
she whispers
