Freedom From You. Poem by Tony Robinson

Freedom From You.

I listen to your lullaby sung with the devils tongue
Your true nature is shining through
How different from me are you,
Crippled by desire
Walking alone through hells holy fire
From this misery I will never tire,
Scorching flames lick my face
All I can taste is your bitter hate,
Looking out through evil’s eyes
I see your true nature reflected in mine
But from your abominations I will never hide,
Heaven has drawn the line
And I have crossed over to the other side
The power you had you gave away
And now it will be mine to gain,
I gave my soul willingly
It’s no longer yours to forsake
Now I pray on a new Bible
Whose pages are blank inside
The rules that I abide by
Are now for me to decide.
