Freedom Of The Daily Pain Poem by If I say Im lost, Would you come find me

If i asked you to escape the pain with me,
to run away from your problems,
to imagine a new world.
One with happiness,
one with peace,
one with freedom
one with people who love you for everything you are.
Would you go?
Would you let me take you forever and never have to return to the place,
this nightmare,
this living hell,
this home that is broken and falling apart.
Would you let me remove the mask that you have worn your whole life,
to let me show you the world for what it really is?
How would you take the real world truthfully?
Would you run and hide to avoid the truth?
Would you look around and began to cry because the world is falling apart right there in front of you?
Or
Would you simple walk away with me and be free
Free of the hurt,
the pain of everyday,
the sorrow and regret of the choices you have made,
the people who have hurt you,
the painful memories that you wish were just nightmares.
Honestly, would you leave and let you inner child be free, or would you put that shameful mask back on and walk back into that miserable world known as home?
