Friday The 13th. Poem by Nikkie Johnson

Friday The 13th.

Today is your birthday.
You're a year older today.
Can you believe after tonight you will be an adult for the rest of your life?

You can do what you want.
Be what you want.
Anything you want to be.

An astronaut or farmer.
An archeologist or work in the harbor.
Walk on the moon or walk on the grass.
See all the people or see all the water.

Anything you want to be will be okay.
But, can you believe your finally eighteen today?
Eighteen is the age to celebrate.
Eighteen is the age to be free.
Free of rules.
Free of parents.
Free of just about everything.

You can go off and do what you want.
You can go off and be whoever you want to be.

You can live on the edge or just stay in your bed.
You can go bungee jumping or just stay at home today.
Either or your eighteen today.
Can you believe your finally eighteen today?

You can drive your car and go to college, to become who you want to be.
Whatever it might be.
Never forget your childhood or the people who got you there.
Always remember to live your life to the fullest.
Life is too short to just stay in your bed.

Now Happy Friday the Thirteenth.
Also Happy Birthday To You!
Now that you're finally eighteen you can set out and be the man you want to be.
I love you!
And Happy Birthday!
