Frightened When Alone Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Frightened When Alone

On a journey...
I have never taken before.

And I am not one to assume it will last,
On an everlasting tour.
I am sure about the process.
But the end result of it my mind ignores.

That to me feels right.
And sometimes I admit,
I do get uneasy but with no thoughts to quit.

To have someone to share my life with.
And so far I have not known,
What the meaning of that is.

And frightened when alone,
When I think about this
