Frigid Temptations Poem by Gina Marie Moody

Frigid Temptations

Rating: 4.6

The cynic has re-emerged,
I've seen her in the mirror;
her frozen-hard reflection
gradually draws nearer.

Frosted hands palm tepid glass,
my condensed self image beads;
murky droplets slowly slide,
between frame and plate they bleed.

Fluid pearls solidify,
Victims of her wintry touch,
giving rise to glacial limbs
bound within the Ice Queen's clutch.

Crystallized as one, we reign,
safe behind our looking glass,
sneering at the foolish-fleshed,
hurling ice shards as they pass.
