From The Heart Poem by Tyrone Dibie

From The Heart

Rating: 5.0

Wish you know what you do to me
When at night I just can't sleep
Cause you are like a tumor in my brain
My head tilts and tears fall from my heart
Simply because my mind is heavy
What can matter more than being with you?
And not just being with you
Knowing that you'll never forsake me
And not just forsake me
But commensurate each others feelings
Like Paradise
You do take Paradise away
Don't you?

I remember a woman say 'never give all your eggs to a man'
But happy endings had always been my favorite
You never understood what each egg meant
When you smashed them on the floors of deceit
I whispered 'come back'
But your search for the perfect one
Has erased our memories from your past
Dear, I must confess, life's not been easy since you left
Just isn't
Has it?

Sometimes I feel I'm in darkness
Things don't just feel the same anymore
I'm tired of dreams, belief and life
Everything manages to come to our fate
A fate that makes a meaning meaningless
I feel so sordid to blame myself or just anyone
Indeed, I'm dead at heart
Crying within day and night
How the sun looks dim
You've moved on
Never could stop you
Could I?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Wrote this after a break-up! Traumatizing at the least...

Hardest thing in the world is a break up. A great poem.
