Poems by Elizabeth Sheaffer : 37 / 99
From Tresses Long
Chills walk up and down my spine
Both mind and heart o'ertaken by
A feeling one cannot ignore
A feeling before ne'er mine
From tresses long, an intoxicating scent
Wafts, filling my nostrils with its
Sweet, slowly maddening embrace
The loss of it, my heart's lament
A memory still lingers here
Sweet kisses beneath moonlight
Six days, but you are what I long for
I'm happiest now when you are near
