From Your Blood Drinking Neighbours... Poem by The Night Wanderer

From Your Blood Drinking Neighbours...

We are not responsible for you broken or stolen hearts. We cannot guarantee your safety if you stay out after dark. We will not listen to your prayers or pleads of mercy. We reserve the rights to take any life as we see fit. Your stake and holy water does not guarantee that we honor your “bravery”. In order to remain keeper over your life and soul, please treat us with the utmost respect. Before (an attempt at) running away, please discard any garlic. If you do not understand our requirements, you will face the consequences. In event of war we will claim ownership over your dead. Your neighbour’s life was cancelled because we could not stand his ridiculous vampire hunts. Our creators let us loose and have since been unable to contain us. You were chosen for dinner because you fit the job description. You are presumed edible if we find you out after dark. It’s not our fault that you are the easiest food source. It is not in our beliefs to allow you a phone call or a last word. Stay inside, please, if you wish to remain alive. You have no rights that we have chosen to value. Please remain calm, or we can’t be held at fault for your painful death. Because we are not responsible.
