Frozen Moments Poem by dino evans

Frozen Moments

Inside my room of memories, I gaze on days gone by,
That faces all just shadows now, at times I know that I...
Should close the weather beaten door, give up the reasons why...
The names lost far inside my time, no matter how I try...

Try to bring back love I lost that lingers in my mind,
Attempt to reason what went wrong, no answer there, I find...
No chance for me to see again, the years stare back unkind,
In frozen moments, protected from the ravages of time...

In silver frames the faces look at me, neatly arraigned,
Although within my memory, the reasons have been changed...
Reasons that once new to me, sit old, dusty and stained,
With tears for what is gone to me, or what I've failed to gain...

Gone is my ability to know what I once knew,
My sight taken away, to see things clear within my view...
I've known this broken heart is mine, but that is nothing new,
Broken, shattered, for the long lost memory of you...

And so now, here I am inside my room of long ago,
Sitting with these pictures, faded half smiles, they all show...
And reveal to me I've lost my way, with no place left to go,
Will I just fade to memory with the faces? ...I don't know....
