Frozen Tears Poem by Rik Bertrand

Frozen Tears

I cry, I am not sorry, I cry, for I have lost love.
The bitter cold life I lead, I Pray to god above.
I have sorrow in my heart, and I miss a warm touch,
I need love to surround me, is that asking too much.

The air is so brisk and my life has grown cold,
My body is freezing, I need someone to hold
I am so very alone here, and I am aging in years
And it gets harder to wipe away these frozen tears.

Lost, is the true love that held me together.
That kept me going through all kinds of weather
Lost is the caressing warmth that melted the tears
That has kept me going through out all these years.

Frozen tears, frozen years, lay on this face of mine,
They are frozen to remind me of true love lost in time.
I continue to cry, I am not sorry, for I have lost love,
And I continue Pray for forgiveness to my god above.
