Full Grief (Sad Poem Dedicated To My Cousin Who Died) Poem by Aziz Akrish

Full Grief (Sad Poem Dedicated To My Cousin Who Died)

Time is running and I am walking,
I write this with full- grief,
Sitting while I see the vultures flocking,
You're gone, question is: Can I see some relief?
You said those words, words that were beautiful,
Prettier than the leaf during the autumn.. Prettier than the leaf.

I never thought you'd actually die,
Even though I know we're going to return to the Lord someday,
I kept thinking it was a lie,
But I didn't tell you that I loved you, but you were killed at your last frey,
Yeah you died fighting, protecting your kin against the bad guy,
But I never said goodbye.

Oh.. the world I proclaim,
I don't need more despair,
You didn't want me to write poems on your name,
but when I am grief-stricken poetry is the way I express myself take care,
Take care my man and I hope to see you not in the flame.

I wish the rain would come,
And wash away the pain,
I hope God punishes that scum,
Who took your life, but I nevertheless do not gain,
You were faster to be gone but I am on my way to succumb.

'Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.'
[39: 42]

Have I been blind,
Or the I have yet not seen a sign?

When can my heart forget you?
And I walk away like you never passed through my heart,
I write this with full grief, the only view,
The only view I have is towards the valley of sadness that engulfs me, or maybe you could, could have another start.

I know death comes least expected,
And I believe that what has been done is done,
Even though I write this, honestly, over what you died? I can never respect it,
you died over something so petty and small, then they took and run.

If our souls one day meet, I'd say 3 words, I love you,
I'd hug and then say goodbye, because really if you were ever infront of me when ya died, that's what I would've done.

Thanks for hearing what I've said, I leave you in peace.
