Full Pull! Poem by Flencirose Basera

Full Pull!

I pour my heart out in silence
The pen on paper
Pressing as the depth of my emotions swells
As I ponder and wonder about my emotions
When you are drawn to a person
You know you can not live without them
You panic
Your reaction fumbled
You become content to stay silent and still
Why am I hesitating to act?
What do I feel inside?
Why is my heart crying out?
For things left unsaid and undone
I have managed to control my emotions
Pack them into compartments,
Locked and never opened
Well until someone finds it
The invisible key to my heart
My soul trapped, lost and confused
The connection is known
Very familiar
Yet there is distance between us
To turn in the direction of the pull
The magnet has to be on
The effort is too much without the zone
Effort wasted
I believe in patience
Like a peacock you spread your feathers
Vibrant in exclusive colours
To snare and entrap
Then you await the kill!
Willing!
Wishing!
Wanting
Waiting......
