Furtivity Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua

Furtivity

You may tuck secrets away
Go about your daily affairs
To engage each endeavor
With smiles though feigned
But the secrets of the heart
Soon become quiet whispers
That echo from distance afar
Amidst attempts to conceal
They creep out in posturing
Visible in every eye contact
Reflective in every greeting
Revealed in your handshake
Affirming that our true being
Will lend itself out in action
And that disguise and deceit
Hidden and tirelessly curbed
Never truly goes undisclosed
For the secrets of the heart
Body language cannot conceal
