G W E N D O L Y N Poem by Stephanie Eve Kane Arado

G W E N D O L Y N

G lorious sunshine dances off clear crystal streams
Brown bears catch fish while the landscape gleams

W onderful flocks gather on evergreen trees
Sing of new life and play catch in the breeze

E nchanting Lady Gwendolyn sits on her throne
Inviting the forest folk to welcome her home

N obel Lady tells stories of far away travels
Swords, knights, villains and streets paved with gravel

D aring young explorers who sought after treasure
Damsels whose beauty was difficult to measure

O stentatious revelers who made mischief in town
Thieves who stole riches when no one was around

L aughter filled the forest as the lady told her tales
Their queen had returned now love would prevail

N urturing the young and teaching them courage
She knew that her forest friends trusted her knowledge
