Games We Play For Love Poem by Ryan Dougherty

Games We Play For Love

You lay down the ace of heart
as do I
I call your bluff
but once again I was out witted
forgetting all the rules of probability
mis calculating love
for now both hearts lay on the floor
no one has won

i like the line 'mis calculating love' this may just be me overanalyzing, but i like how you started off with the card metaphor then draws the reader away by breaking the card metaphor, and giving them a fresh perspective of this love poem, then bringing them back with a line that could be interpreted either way. am i giving you too much credit?
