Gap And Divide Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Gap And Divide

We shall face again
Same pain
We shall be bidding dear ones
Wrapped up on coffins

We believe in great religion
That is in our region
But who are the followers
Blind people and murderers

Misguided and misdirected
Going back to the period of Stone Age
No rule of law but only dark shadow
That shall blindly follow

The system shall be in force
But draconian with cruel force
No one shall have freedom to profess
Women may be paraded with naked dress

Such people want to be custodian
Of religion with no slogan
Peace and love shall be pushed aside
We will find big gap and divide
