'homosexuality is like an illness.'
said the one you'd looked up to for most of your life,
'Don't get involved with homosexuals'
said the one that had given birth to you,
'Gays are filthy, disgusting, and idiots! '
said the one you thought you could trust with all.

But you say not a whisper,
not of fear for yourself,
but for the fear of them.

Not a whisper,
to call out for your knight in shining armor;

you'd rather..
oh wait, profanity isn't allowed.
