Gazing Intently Upward Poem by Dijon Noble

Gazing Intently Upward

Existence of night and day lies behind my eyes, I drew breath in my perception of the world and exhaled in the essence of time.

In the imprint of my footprint lie's experience, ahead of me stands the unseen, the path of life slowly descends upon me and lays comfortably beneath my feet.

I recognized death through life's reflection and saw neither is my constant companion nor my continual adversary.

My face shone with divinity giving light to what I see, my heart reflected understanding giving wisdom to my mode of speech.
