Gentle Light Poem by Ron Schmidt

Gentle Light

Good night gentle light
for darkness is setting in,

I see the fragments of my soul
spinning out of control
settle down, be still my soul
struggling not to be swept away,
out of control

Cast away your fears
the future is so near
clearer than ever before.

Open your eyes and see once more
for today you shall open that door
and fear shall be with you no more.

Walk through and you will see that,
It's only a dream.

Wake up! Wake up! I tell you
quit counting sheep
The coffee is brewing,
aroma has perked your senses
Get out of bed, and drink a few glasses.

Your day is about to begin
Now that the gentle light
is streaming back in
