Gently In The Morning Poem by Valerie Dohren

Gently In The Morning

Rating: 5.0

Gently in the morning
touch me if you will
tell me that you love me
when the day is still

Keep me close against you
just before the dawn
soothe away my sorrows
‘fore the day is born

Kiss me as I tremble
gaze into my eyes
let me feel you near me
when the night-time dies

Gently in the morning
hold me in the shade
when the bright sun rises
that's when I'm afraid

Oh how your words are straight from your heart. Beautifully written. Yet we must never be afraid for we can't change anything. X

Brightness opens eyes to the world. We need the shade. Beautifully expressed.

A beautiful, subtle write about the harsh realities of life that at times we find hard to face, the shade comforts us from the glare of daily life! ! Outstanding write! !
