Get Me Out Of Here (For The Second City Saints) Poem by Harrison Bishop

Get Me Out Of Here (For The Second City Saints)

-verse 1-
For every broken heart,
For every time I would fall,
For every false start
It was you I would always call.
But now you've gone away,
An I live alone, in this jail of mine,
You no longer tell me 'it's okay'
Why won't you give me a sign?

-chorus-
I'm stuck,
I'm lost,
Is it all just in my head?
I'm done,
I'm gone,
Would I be better off dead?
Or will you save me?
Will you be brave for me?
Why won't you get me;
Get me out of here?

-verse 2-
When I'd yell revolution,
You'd always be yelling with me,
When I was blind looking for a solution,
You'd always help me see,
But, now for every broken heart,
And every time I fall,
And every single false start,
I can't go knocking on your door...

-chorus-
I'm stuck,
I'm lost,
Is it all just in my head?
I'm done,
I'm gone,
Would I be better off dead?
Or will you save me?
Will you be brave for me?
Why won't you get me;
Get me out of here?
