Getting Warmer Later. Poem by Simon Gowen

Getting Warmer Later.

Rating: 5.0

As I awoke this morning
On a pillow filled with feather
I dreamt I'd won myself a date
With the girl who reads the weather

She swept in like a summer breeze
Her warm front so inviting
She took me down to itv
We spoke about the lighting!

Bob was on the sofa
Making changes to his script
Sameena's in the green room
'Milk and sugar please' I quipped

Matt was in the office
Showing Lucy Kite his tie
'Bob needs another glass of red'
Said Kate as she flew by

But in amongst the turmoil
Of a busy itv
I simply stood and smiled because
Emma Jesson's there with ME! !
