Ghost Father Of My Ruined Church Poem by Dan Brown

Ghost Father Of My Ruined Church

Rating: 3.5

If you think I don’t see it,
you’re even more stupid than
you thought I was.
I know why you run around after him.
Bowing to his every whim.
You keep telling me I have a chip on my shoulder.
No.
That’s just your way of justifying your actions.
Tell yourself its someone else with the problem.
Not you.
It doesn’t work.
Mum sees it too.
I wonder if she knows why.
I know why, Dad.
I know why you do anything you can
to keep him as an ally,
to keep him on your side.
Its because you know you messed up
with me.
Its because you know you were a crap father
the first time round.
Well, congratulations on your second chance.
But where’s mine Dad?
Where’s my second chance?
