Ghost Of A Selfish Poet Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

Ghost Of A Selfish Poet

Where is your ferry bound to O wayfarer?
What unknown music are you playing on your flute?
Where are you rowing to without pause?
You are never alone because of the sky & river
Your family is waiting for you at the doorstep,
Give a pause to your selfish music, this is the time to rest
Your children are waiting for their dolls and sweets,
Your wife broods alone without a flute or boat
I am a messenger of time & I see in you my own image
I am your other self who died & became a spirit
I am not selfish enough to remain dumb
To make you my brother after death
Wait expectantly for time will find a solution
For there is always a time for everything before death.
