Gigantism Poem by Je'free Y .

Gigantism

Have you thought about a world
That contained your world,
Not just these countries and cities of yours?

Have you thought about seeing yourself
From top view, not just through the mirror,
Or when you look down at the clear lake?

You can imagine another universe besides this-
Another place of higher hierarchy;
Definitely, larger than you and everything around.

Have you thought, when you feel the biggest,
About a room for progress, unlimited spaces
Above you worth climbing and exploring?

To normalize the abnormal growth,
Going past beyond your enormity,
Consider how you are a speck somewhere else.

Gigantism: You find yourself increasing fast,
And everyone around you turns minute as dust.
Overwhelmed by your greatness, you never heal,

Until you recognize a vastness that holds you
By a strand of your hair. Love ought to go
Beyond yourself. No one is really that huge.
