Ginger Poem by Francis Duggan

Ginger

Bonny is the word that does surely apply
To Ginger the baby sister of young Django Ry
For Damian and Vanessa a girl to go with their boy
The birth of a baby is a gift of joy
In high and beautiful Olinda into a woman she will grow
And there of the beauty of Nature she will get to know
In Olinda in the Yarra Ranges a beautiful place
Her first challenges in life young Ginger will face
And new lessons to be learned from life every day
And in life many challenges do come our way
For Damian and Vanessa a baby daughter such great news to hear
A wonderful gift at the end of the year
And for Django a young sister with whom he can play
For the Ladds and the Veals life is looking okay.
