Give Love Poem by James E. Hodges

Give Love

Love that is hoarded, molds at last,
Maybe we'll learn this truth some day.
That the only things we can keep,
Are things we willingly give away.

The kindnesses which are never used,
Are like the thoughts we never say.
Only the things we can ever keep,
Are the things we willingly give away.

It is usually the things we try to keep,
Which slip from our grasp on our way.
Sow love, it is goodwill - then we reap,
For this we should willingly give away
