Give Peace A Chance Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Give Peace A Chance

Rating: 5.0

Wearing this wrinkled frown
On my face both white and brown
Puckered with consternation
Lacerated by invitation
Over worldly reported events
Crushed lives, incidents
Death and destruction
Life has ripped fabric, shredded
Needle of hate wet and threaded
Starving millions need
Bankers’ unrivalled greed
Lennon said it all in song
Not listening is where we go wrong
Its time for Armageddon’s axe
Wiping away illusions mask
