Giving Without Expectation
Never give a gift with the expectation to get.
Never love someone while expecting to forget.
Like the sun, who gives warmth and light for you,
Never complain, no matter what you do.
The river gives you life and water, but never regret.
Why are we so little? Asking for returns without respect.
Whatever you give, in disguise it comes back to you.
If you hurt someone, someway you're hurting you.
Like the sun, who gives warmth and light for you, Never complain, no matter what you do. Tolerance with out reason is wrong, as we, Indians do in our country. other than this sun provides not only the warmth, but also creates the desert and the poles by its presence and absence! so..?
This is on my list of favorites. Too often people expect reciprocity. That' not what life should be about. Very well written, Dr. Mridha.
This poem speaks truly. In life, we should be more concerned about what we give and not what we get.
