Glass Fly Poem by Rebecca Stansfield

Glass Fly

Sing that there sing of lullabies.
In which reflect of glass.

What does a window reflect?
A song of lullabies?

Does a window sing a butterfly?
Where it's wings make sound to fly?

Or does it demon roar of lions?
That simply hate the sunshine.

What did it ever matter?
Doesn't a lion have wings?

I'm sure a roar could make a melody...
If you tried many times.

What is different to a butterfly?
The reflection of a glass fly?

That wings and roars stop and stand still,
Is that so more reliable?

That any single animal -
Is strong enough to fly.
