Go Ask The Spider And The Bird Poem by Toshie Nohara

Go Ask The Spider And The Bird

A spider looses not
Its patience when
Spinning its
Web
A bird looses not
Its
Temper when
Feeding its
Tiny
Brood
But Man looses both when
Faced with
Difficulties or
Unsolved
Problems
In circumstances
Like these
Man think not
Of philosopy
Or plan
Their future
But give up
Hope so
Quickly
Loosing faith
In
Themselves
They know not
Of Nature's
Wonderful ways of
Education
They care not
Even for their
Welfare in times
Of hopelessness
They just
Panic and
Loose
Confidence
Ask the
Spidert they should
Consult
The bird they should
They ought to be
Ashamed of
Themselves having
No
Mind of their own
Suddenly not
Making full use of
Their knowledge
To overcome
Challenges
Or to live meaningful
Lives

Oh spider and bird
Open Man's eyes to
The beauty of
God's wonderful
Creation
Open Man's ears to
The sweet
Sounds of
Music and songs
Lest Man will hide
In their
'Shell' and
Pessimism rules
Man need optimism to
Gain back
Their confidence

A little time
Spent watching
The spider or
The bird
Patienltly living
Their lives
Will wake Man up
From their
drunken slumber.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
One day, I couldn't help watching a spider patiently spinning its web in the garden. Another time I saw a mother bird happily flying to and fro with worms in her beak to feed her little brood.I wrote this poem because living creatures teach us to be patient and have a good temper.
