God Ia Not All Macho Poem by kalemeera collins

God Ia Not All Macho

When I was 11, you drew me into thy salvation
And all I knew was you are God, and I am mortal,
Cold, macho unfeeling father to whom I owed,
Every last breath in my lungs, how shallow.
Should have known better that you ain't that macho.

Over that last 11years have attained a growth,
An elevation in the knowledge of who you are,
Knowledge enough to know that,
More than just a contract am party to
Or a crusade I subscribed to,
It is personal; I've been called to a relationship.

Knowledge enough to realize you are….
Touchable, your heart can be moved upon
For fact you are touched with the feelings
Of our infirmities says Hebrews 4: 12

Pain is the very least of it for you grieve
Such is the grief that had blood forget its place
And played tears in the garden of gethsemane
When you wept so profusely for me.

I used to stop and wonder…..exactly
Why did you cry, what I was so challenging
About a cross and a few nails, you are GOD
But now I know that it was about the cross
It was about me and a whole bunch more

He calls the end from the beginning, God
Projecting into generations to come
That would blatantly reject a gift so priceless,
Make a mockery of him in action and say
And what we would pay courtesy of rejecting you.

Friends he loves so deep and so hard,
Even yet when justice demands a penalty
For our atrocities, mercy says NO.
For his ached when we force his hand
Takes no pleasure in death, but wills
That we turn and love him back boldly, EZEKIEL18: 32

In as much as I would recap all about how
Personal our God is, time and word limit me.
He ain't all macho, but a gentle spirit
That never withdraws from you even when
Your barely can stand a second in thy own flesh.

Now come my friend lets reason together, He says
Drop that cliché image you have of abba
And by his spirit fathom that you've been
Called a friend, a son, priest of holiness

Even if your sins be reddened like scarlet
Spotess wool shall he see them be
If only you would love Him alittle different
As a father, friend and companion.
Not a master so far off, macho
