God Is Not Religious Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God Is Not Religious

Through religion countless are fooled
From shore to sandy shore
Where fear and guile souls are ruled
Wisdom closes its door

Numerous churches are forbidden
Bowing to human will
With Heaven's truths being hidden
From devils out to kill

With wickedness on the increase
True faith, seen now obtuse
Since truth, is on the decrease
Amok, devils run loose

From Jesus Christ, God His Father
Guidance from Heaven's Dove
Deceived, lost souls now will rather
Seek elsewhere, than above

Still revival's being broadcast
Church optimism stands
Though scorned, ridiculed, cruel harassed
To God, faith lifts its hands

God's love is hope's driving features
Through Christ death on the tree
Through Shepherds, God's ordained teachers
Life's few seek victory

Victory, triumph, nothing less
True conquest of the foe
Every believer God will bless
Causing Salvation's flow

Countless may die in the meantime
May for a while feel pain
Till Jesus calls His bride to climb
Forever more to reign.....
