God Is Salvation Poem by Poet Dreamer

God Is Salvation

Rating: 5.0

For our salvation
Did the Lord come
With a pure heart
Wide open to all
Lifting the shroud
Unveiling the light
To follow His way
The glorious call

Heeded by some
Yet far from many
Divine rhythms
His lips did speak
Love, forgiveness
Patience and hope
A most holy way
God's decree

Stubborn and hard
Were their minds
Those priests
Settled in the old
Be gone with Him
So did they say
The Lord Jesus
For silver was sold

A trial was fixed
And Jesus betwixt
Strong guards
Meekly Stood
They spit and spat
Cursed His name
Who is this man
Deem him no good

Condemned to shame
And so it was
Unjust dues
Had it's day
A readied cross
An innocent lamb
Devouring wolves
Someone will pay

Yet in the end
A world would see
The triumph of good
The just and free
For God Himself
Before us all
Shone upon Christ
It is we who fall!
