God’s Churches Poem by Marilyn Lott

God’s Churches

Rating: 5.0

I know that God loves His churches
We find them all over the world
All sizes and styles are built
They are constantly being unfurled

You’ll find them in large cities
Enormous they are in size
You’ll find folks’ inside of them
That are bible-read and wise

As you drive across the country
Churches greet you everywhere
Doors are open for you to pray
A place for religion to be shared

No matter how small a country town
Usually there’s a church you’ll see
A quiet little spot in the road
A place to worship for you and me

It shows how incredibly important
God’s churches are for us to share
Folks from the beginning of time
Know how much God really cares!

Marilyn, I love this poem. It sort of sent me on a mental trip, one filled with nostalgia. I can picture the many small towns I have visited. A church is usually the first defining objects you see as you drive into a country town. Your poem stirred up memories of some of those towns where my most cherished memories reside. Ron
