God's Love Poem by Brenda Hayes

God's Love

Rating: 5.0

He places a rainbow in brightening skies
After storms ravage and rage through the night
And during dark times when we falter and fear,
Comforting arms guide us into the light.
Reflections of His love, eternal and pure-
That bring sustenance and comforting care,
Are found in earth's harvest, a hearth safe and warm,
And joy and happiness beyond compare.
Of all of the blessings deemed precious and best
For each Heaven-sent son and daughter,
Is the nurturing love entrusted by Him.
In sacred roles to our Mother and Father.
When shadowed night obscures our eternal view
And our grasp falters with the iron rod,
Watching on sidelines-our parents kneel in prayer,
And then walk with us back home to God.
