God’s Unexpected Treasures Poem by Katherine Graven

God’s Unexpected Treasures

Rating: 5.0

For years the pain of thinking a woman could not conceive
To wonder the reasons God would take this ability
For the pain of not being able to make their family complete
Made true love fall apart feeling like a needle in their heart

For the mother's love of a life would never be realized
Feelings of being cheated giving reason for this family's demise.
With only life's disappointment to follow her through
She still couldn't believe that her love was through

Not feeling worthy of being the women of her lover’s dreams
Only forced hurtful reasons to make him leave
Good-bye would be the end of what was never to be
For the burning feelings of not being able to conceive

Years pass by with only the bitterness of what couldn't be
Watching other mothers and thinking why not me
He made his way into the arms of someone in her family
Her heart ached as she watched him became three.

Then without warning he fell back into her dreams
With only the love that had never been forgotten to become her reality
They were torn apart with the hopes of broken wishes
To be brought back together with passionate kisses

They belonged together this they knew
Decided to take their love and stay as two
With the worries of life still fresh at their feet
They decided with two they were complete

Then when they thought they were settled in
God sent a miracle to let them know their legacy will never end
Months of anticipated worries follow close by
Then one day their love was realized

For God gave them this beautiful gift of love
As white doves danced in graceful motion from above
Angels with sweet tender voices where singing joyfully
A beautiful baby girl from Heaven was God's tender blessing
