God’s Warrior Poem by John Lynch

God’s Warrior

One God, who made heaven and earth,
who sent Our Savior by human birth,
made all mankind to one day be
forever with God in ecstasy

That ecstasy is not the same
for everyone who calls God’s name.
Valhalla - Vikings wouldn’t want for more.
It depends on things God planned us for.

As for this soldier, I can surely tell
he’s protecting God’s realm from the hoards of hell.
Saint Michael the Archangel is by his side
with God in heaven from the moment he died.

With sword in hand is his heavenly part.
Why else would Our Lord have blessed his heart
with such fathomless depths of courage and love
than to guard the gates of heaven above.
