A precious life in human form, God gave to me and said, “Go forth ye man and tell all men, I am the Lord, Thy God.”
When I look back on my past life, A life that hath much sin, I wish I were thus never born, Amidst the human kin.
I warn myself, “Better improve, What good deeds have I done? ” ’Tis better I do for God’s sake, By praying without fun.
And on that day when God asks me, “Why did you sin, my son? ” I will have no excuses good, In shame, I must just run.
But God is kind; I know His love: For man He died on cross; He made Heaven, a place of joy, For good persons to pause.
A lovely Being Maker is Who made earth and heaven! He will reward men of good will: To hell, He sends bad men. Copyright by Dr John Celes 4-4-2000
