Gods Gift Poem by Ray William Roldan

Gods Gift

I once saw a flower
alive with the sun,
then heard a girl say
it's the only one!

It was blue with pink stripes
outlined in red,
and when it was gone,
the species was dead!

Now it's been many times
this stories been told,
and I wonder what's gone
as new tales unfold!

My heart feels regret
for another friend lost,
and I fear that I'll get
the bill for the cost!

Now I hope God forgives us
for the things we have done,
have we killed his creations
and left him with none?
