Golden Headed Lion Tamarin - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Golden Headed Lion Tamarin - Lincoln Park Zoo

I am a tamarin, I am
The golden headed lion one.
Humans sure do know how to ram
A wordy name before it's done.
I be a primate from Brazil.
Aside from head, my body's black.
On plants and insects I do fill.
Through rain forests I'm forth and back.
Humans mess with my habitat,
And so endangered my kind be.
I now have found a good place at
To better help shared destiny.

Come visit the Lincoln Park Zoo.
I'll nod my golden head to you.
