Gone Poem by Bri Lynne

Gone

Our time together
In desperate dispositions
In tragic goodbye kisses
In harmonious happiness
Is all a dream
My forgiveness remains afloat
But for your acknowledgment
I'd trade every word I'll ever say
Oh, the pain of what was
Teasing me, mocking me
If only you were like you
Used to be.

If only I saw you in dreams
They're for the strong and decent
And you don't quite fit
If only you were here
But you've been gone forever.
