Gone Poem by Elizabeth Fletcher

Gone

Rating: 5.0

If I could cry for you I would
But I can't
My heart is cold
From the pain that is untold
I refuse to be thought of as weak
So I make my problems seem
So small
So meek
For no other reason
Am I here on Earth
Then to listen to others
Give advice to everyone
I will not commit treason
And rob you of your secrets
For when I die
And you stare up at the sky
And ask why, why, why
It is because all my worth
Is in those I help
So when no one needs me
I am worthless
Helpless
I am gone
